The Louisville City FC Academy is this week taking a select group of U15 players to Tampa, Fla., for the second USL Academy Cup.

Top youth talents from four age groups in all — U13 Boys, U15 Boys, U19 Boys and U19 Girls — are descending upon the Hillsborough County SportsPlex for high-level games with scouts expected to be present from top college programs and pro squads.

Each age group has been divided into tiered competitive divisions, with LouCity taking part in the “Elite Division,” the highest level. Each team will play three others in their group starting Thursday before moving on to a final or consolation game Sunday as competition concludes.
