The Louisville City FC and Racing Louisville FC Academy continues to grow through a newly announced affiliation agreement with Southern Kentucky Soccer Club.

Based in Bowling Green, Kentucky, SKY Soccer will as a result receive direct access to a professionally designed curriculum and in-person instruction from LouCity and Racing staff.

“We are excited to welcome SKY Soccer Club into our affiliate club program,” said Mario Sanchez, director of the LouCity and Racing Academy. “SKY has done an outstanding job through the years to create a positive playing environment for their members. As part of the affiliate program, we will be able to work together with the SKY leadership group to further the experience for their players and coaches.

SKY Soccer, a nonprofit organization, operates programming for players ages 3 to 18 with a mission toward developing great players and people, enhancing the community and growing the game.

“I'm very excited to see the opportunities for SKY players and coaches as part of this affiliation,” said Steve Henson, director of coaching at SKY Soccer Club. “Whether the end goal is high school, college or professional soccer, having a partnership with Louisville City FC and Racing Louisville FC will only continue to help provide a pathway for players that is unmatched in the Bowling Green and South Central Kentucky area.”

LouCity and Racing expansion into Bowling Green adds to other agreements with Calcio Express (Johnston City, Illinois); Elizabethtown Football Club (Elizabethtown, Kentucky); Pumas (Paducah, Kentucky); Radcliff Youth Soccer (Radcliff, Kentucky); Southern Indiana United (Clarksville, Indiana); SportsTutor-Owensboro United (Owensboro, Kentucky); and Winchester Youth Soccer (Winchester, Kentucky).
