Dear LouCity & Racing Academy families,

It is both an honor and a privilege to step into the director role for the LouCity & Racing Academy, and I am eager to contribute to the continued success of our soccer community.

Before we embark on this journey together, I want to extend my deepest gratitude to Luke Spencer and Mario Sanchez as they move on to new opportunities coaching FC Tulsa’s first team in the USL Championship. Their dedication has set the stage for excellence in our academy, and I am committed to building upon the strong foundation they've established.

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Guillermo Sanchez, and I bring a wealth of experience from my diverse soccer journey. I've had the privilege of serving as an assistant coach at the Major League Soccer level with Orlando City SC, where I immersed myself in a high level of competition and honed my skills.

My global coaching adventures include two stints in India with Kerala Blasters and Northeast United, as well as participation in the prestigious South American Libertadores Cup with Tachira (Venezuela), Cerro Porteno (Paraguay), and The Strongest (Bolivia). Additionally, I've worked with a professional team in Greece, as well as serving as an academy director.

I hold an undergrad in psychology and modern foreign languages from Graceland University as well as a master’s degree in sports psychology with a strong focus on enhancing mental performance in athletes. My coaching philosophy centers around holistic player development, and I've had the privilege of working with outstanding players such as Kaka, Nani, Simao Sabrosa, Diomansy Kamara, André Bikey, and many others.

On the soccer educational front, I proudly hold a USSF A License, an Advanced National License and a Youth Football License from Spain. Furthermore, my experience extends beyond the soccer field, as I've spent seven years as a coach and leadership teacher at the college level.

I am genuinely excited to lead the LouCity & Racing Academy family and to contribute to the growth and success of our talented players. I look forward to continuing to working together to create a positive and thriving soccer environment.

Thank you for your warm welcome, and here's to an exciting chapter ahead!

Warm regards,

Guillermo Sanchez
