
Lizzie Hornack
Racing Academy Director
Since 2014, Elizabeth “Lizzie” Hornack has worked as a coach and administrator on the youth and collegiate levels. She most recently served as the Girls Director of Coaching for Pride Soccer Club in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where she was also an assistant coach for the club’s WPSL pro-am team, Colorado Pride to Pro. Additionally, she was the head coach for the Colorado Soccer Association’s Olympic Development Program. Before working in Colorado, Hornack spent time with the Soccer Club of Rockford in Michigan, eventually rising to the club’s Girls Executive Director role, and as an assistant coach at Davenport University, her alma mater. Hornack holds a USSF B License, which she earned in 2024.

Joe Jessop
LouCity Academy Director
A native of Lincoln, England, Jessop came to the United States to compete at the collegiate level, beginning his career at St. Catherine College at the NAIA level. He spent three seasons with the Patriots before completing his final collegiate season at Midway University in 2017 following the closure of St. Catherine College.
Jessop served as Director of Coaching at Oldham Soccer Club from 2017 to 2023, concluding his tenure when the organization became part of the LouCity and Racing Academy system. He has also contributed as a volunteer assistant coach at Bellarmine University. Jessop currently holds a USSF B License and is actively pursuing his CTL and his USSF A License. right after.

Shaun Francis
LouCity/Racing Oldham Director
Frano’s illustrious playing career, spanning more than 10 years in Major League Soccer and including his tenure as a Jamaican International — alongside his time with our very own LouCity pro side during its 2018 USL Championship title-winning campaign — provides a wealth of experience and insight. His coaching qualifications, including a USSF C License, further solidify his suitability for the role of LouCity-Racing Oldham Director.

Oscar Jimenez
LouCity Academy Assistant Director
After a 11-year playing career, including seven with Louisville City FC, Jimenez joins the LouCity Academy Coaching Staff. His championship pedigree as a player provide a wealth of experience and insight into his current coaching role.

Thabane Sutu
LouCity Academy Goalkeeping Director
A native of Maseru, Lesotho, Sutu has coached goalkeepers at the top levels of American soccer with Orlando City of MLS and Louisville City FC of the USL Championship. Sutu, who played professionally in Lesotho with Arsenal and in Egypt with the club Al Ahly, has been coaching top-level goalkeepers in the Louisville area for nearly two decades first. Sutu was inducted into the Kentucky Soccer Hall of Fame in 2018 for his work with Louisville City and his time with United 1996, winning Kentucky’s Coach of the Year in 2006 and a state title in 2009.

Josh Denton
Academy Sports Performance Director
Josh has served as our Academy Sports Performance Director since 2023. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS, RSCC) with a master’s degree in Kinesiology/Sports Science. Josh oversees weekly speed, strength, agility, and fitness training at our Louisville location while also developing and delivering online educational content to support athletes and staff across all academy locations.

Clay Deveau
U8-U10 Academy Director
Deveau has been coaching with the club since 2021 and has eight years of coaching experience in club, high school, and collegiate soccer. Deveau is also currently the Technical Director and Assistant Coach with the Boyce College Men’s Soccer program where he led them to a 2023 Conference Championship victory and National Championship Runners-up. With Boyce College, he has produced a National Championship Golden Ball winner, two First Team All-Americans, and a National Player of the Year. Alongside his experience as a coach, Deveau brings 13 years of education experience to his role. He finds tremendous value in transferring educational practice to the soccer field. Deveau is pursuing his USSF C License and possesses Barcelona Universitas’ Level 1 Coaching Certificate alongside his educator’s license.

Jacob Sloan
LouCity/Racing Recreation Director
Jacob is a Louisville, Kentucky native whose lifelong involvement in soccer has evolved into a career focused on youth development leadership and program innovation. A high-level youth player, he competed with Kentucky Fire Juniors — an affiliate of Chicago Fire FC — before continuing his playing career on scholarship at Saint Catharine College and completing his degree at Southern New Hampshire University. During this time, Sloan discovered a passion for coaching that would shape his professional path.
After developing as a coach with FC Bescola and other local organizations, Sloan advanced into leadership as Co-Youth Director of Recreation at Mockingbird Valley Soccer Club. He now serves as Recreational Coordinator for Louisville City FC and Racing Louisville FC, where he oversees large-scale youth recreational and developmental programming. His work includes collaboration with international organizations such as Eintracht Frankfurt and the exchange of best practices with clubs across United Soccer League and Major League Soccer. Sloan is driven by a commitment to elevating youth soccer experiences through accessible programming, thoughtful leadership, and innovative development models.
