This weekend, the U-16 through U-19 teams from both the Racing Louisville FC and Louisville City FC academies will compete in the ECNL Showcase.
The Racing Academy will travel to Murfreesboro, Tenn., and LouCity will travel to Greenville, S.C., where each squad will play three games over the course of the weekend.
More than 100 colleges will be represented across all three NCAA divisions, NAIA and JUCO to watch 150-plus teams.
Additionally, the LouCity Academy’s Sebastian Sanchez and Travis Smith, along with the Racing Academy’s Ella Sanchez, will be competing in the ECNL National Selection Game on Friday. The boys match will be live-streamed at 7 p.m. and the girls at 8 p.m. on the ECNL Youtube Channel.
The ECNL National Selection Games are “all-star” matches that bring top players at each regular season ECNL National Event together for representative competition on the first day of the event. They are one component of the ECNL National Selection Program, which encompasses all player identification and development programs within the league.
